Overview

In order to keep course fees as low as possible we have implemented a refund and change policy.  Keeping administrative and support expenses to a minimum allows courses to be as affordable as possible for everyone.

Refunds

You can request a refund within 24 hours of your registration and prior to the start of the class.  After this time there are no refunds. 

Example: You register at 9am for a course at Noon.  You send a refund request at 10am.  The refund will be granted.  If you email at 2pm, the course has already taken place and no refund will be granted. 

Example 2: Your register on Friday for a course the following Tuesday.  On Sunday an all-cash deal goes under contract with a closing on Tuesday.  You email Monday morning saying you won’t be able to make the class and asking for a refund.  I’m excited for your deal, but you will be out the $6 course fee if you miss the class.  You would have needed to ask for a refund on Saturday within 24 hours of registering.

Example 3: Your mouse jams and you somehow register 4 times for the same class without realizing it during checkout.  Later while reviewing your credit card statement you notice this and send an email.  I’ll usually refund the extra 3 registrations.  I reserve the right to limit this and there is a hard, strict 60 day limit on this one.  

Changes / Reschedules

For the most part we handle changes as a refund.  If you mis-typed your email address you can email us and we will correct it on the course registration.  The refund rules apply to changes.  While this may seem strange it takes 5 to 10 minutes to process a change.  It takes about 30 seconds to process a refund.  Time is money.  It’s simply more efficient to issue a refund and let you reschedule most of the time.  There is also the issue that in the past I rarely received the information I needed to make a change.  Add in swapping 7 emails and rooting through all of them to piece together what I think you want and it’s definitely a time suck to try and make course scheduling changes.
